Takoma Park Book Fair
Erica Ginsberg will be part of the 14th annual Takoma Park Book Fair. Free and open to the public, this is an opportunity to connect with 30+ local authors who will be on site selling and signing books. Creative Resilience will be among them. Coinciding with the annual Takoma Park Cocoa Crawl, this a great way to support independent authors and small businesses as you do your holiday shopping.

Creative Resilience Author Erica Ginsberg will at Books & Brews in Baltimore. Come and grab a great beer (and/or food, wine and non-alcoholic drinks), talk books, find your next great read, and hang out with me and 34 other local authors. While the event overall takes place from 11:00 am - 6:00 pm, I will only be there until 2:30 pm.

MWA Author Showcase
Erica Ginsberg will join 14 other local authors at this special author’s showcase organized by the Maryland Writer’s Association in collaboration with The Last Word Bookstore in Savage Mill. Each of the authors will have five minutes to talk about or read from their books. Paperback copies of Creative Resilience will be available for sale and signing. Come out and support local authors and independent bookstores!
Maryland Writer's Conference
Join aspiring, emerging, and established writers at the Maryland Writers’ Association’s (MWA) Annual Brain to Bookshelf Conference. Creative Resilience author Erica Ginsberg will be giving a workshop on the Art of Navigating Writer’s Block, but there are also 24 other workshops, opportunities to pitch your writing to literary agents, and network with other writers. Reading, Conversation, and Signing with Women in Film and Video
Whether you make a living full-time in the world of media or you do it on top of other work, there is no doubt that you do so out of love for telling meaningful stories and growing as an artist. However, we all face challenges of motivation, confidence, creative blocks, and the realities of rejection. Erica Ginsberg recently wrote the book Creative Resilience intended to address these challenges. Women in Film and Video will host her for a reading from her book Creative Resilience to spark a conversation about how to navigate the ups and downs of the creative process. While she will have books available for purchase (for $19.99) and signing, you do not need to have read or purchase the book to get something from this talk.

People’s Book Local Author Bazaar
Erica Ginsberg will be selling and signing copies of CREATIVE RESILIENCE at the first annual People’s Book Local Author Bazaar.
The bazaar will take place on the street in front of People’s Books at 7014-A Westmoreland Avenue in Takoma Park, MD 20912.
While it is only a 10 minute walk from the Takoma Metro, note that the Metrorail station will be closed for maintenance work. Free shuttle buses replace trains between Glenmont and Fort Totten. Closest Metrobus stops are the F-1 from Cheverly and K-2 from Fort Totten and O buses from Silver Spring, or the 12 Ride-On from Silver Spring.

Manor Mill Maker’s Meetup and Talk
This monthly gathering is a free event for creative people who want to share their talents and ideas, and showcase their work. It includes time for social interaction among attendees and time for the guest speaker and topic to discuss. Erica Ginsberg will be speaking about creative resilience and will be selling and signing copies of the Creative Resilience book after the talk. Manor Mill is located at 2029 Monkton Road in Monkton, Maryland. This unique creative hub located in a restored historic grist mill and miller's house in Baltimore County is only a 25-30 minute drive north of Baltimore. Gaithersburg Book Festival
Bold Story Press will have a a table at the Gaithersburg Book Festival, a day-long free literary festival, held rain or shine, at Bohrer Park in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Come to the festival to meet authors, poets, literary and community organizations and hear live music, special guest speakers, poetry readings and more! Erica Creative Resilience will be one of the titles available at the table during the whole festival and Erica Ginsberg will be there between 12:30-2:30 pm signing copies of the book. Arts Salon: Creative Resilience
Silver Spring Town Center Inc. hosts a free quarterly arts salon for creatives. Erica Ginsberg will be facilitating this salon with a focus on resilience as part of the creative process. Fiber artists, costume designers, poets, songwriters, photographers, visual artists, filmmakers, tailors, musicians, and other multimedia artists are all welcome. Artists are encouraged to bring samples of their work to share in a kind of “open mic” or “show and tell” for artists. Erica Ginsberg will be part of a table at Kensington Day of the Book, a day-long free literary festival, held rain or shine, spanning three blocks of Howard Avenue in the heart of historic Kensington, Maryland. Navigating Creative Blocks: A Virtual Talk with DOC NYC
Erica Ginsberg will explore the topic of how to navigate creative blocks, drawing from the book Creative Resilience. She’ll discuss innovative ways to navigate creative blocks, addressing common challenges like impostor syndrome, creative stagnation, and dealing with setbacks. Participants will gain practical strategies for overcoming these hurdles and fostering a resilient creative mindset that empowers them to thrive in their artistic journey. This event is being hosted by DOC NYC and is geared towards filmmakers. However, many of the strategies discussed will also be relevant to folks in other creative disciplines. All registrants may participate in the live session, and will also receive access to the recorded event, a written transcript, the chat transcript and a copy of the slide presentation after the livestream. Docs Reads: Panel and Signing for Creative Resilience
Artists across disciplines face challenges of motivation, self-confidence, creative blocks, rejection, and balancing creative pursuits with the rest of life. Creative Resilience is a guidebook for anyone navigating these challenges. Author Erica Ginsberg includes relatable real-world examples from creatives across disciplines, ages, and stages of their careers. She cites her experiences as an artist and arts administrator with a mix of humor, linguistic reframing, and reflective exercises to give readers tools to manage aspects of the creative process and creative life.
The event, organized as part of Docs In Progress’ Docs Reads series, will include a reading from the book and a panel featuring Erica and artists Alyscia Cunningham and Amy DeLouise who are featured in the book. Signed copies of the book available for purchase for $19.99.

Author Erica Ginsberg includes relatable real-world examples from creatives across disciplines, ages, and stages of their careers, including dancers, musicians, writers, painters, and filmmakers interviewed specifically for Creative Resilience. The author cites her experiences as an artist and arts administrator along with a mix of humor, linguistic reframing, and reflective exercises to give readers tools to manage aspects of the creative process and creative life, including time management, dealing with creative blocks, procrastination, self-confidence, and many other such challenges.
The book is being published as an e-book and paperback on December 5 by Bold Story Press.
